Bobcat Australia a business unit of Clark Equipment Sales Pty Ltd, the national distributor for the Ingersoll-Rand’s (I-R) line of compaction equipment releases the new DD24 double drum asphalt vibratory compactor.

With a centrifugal force of 3,220 kg. (32 kN) the DD-24 provides the compaction necessary to achieve maximum density and smoothness. The forces are designed proportionally to match drum width with overall output to ensure maximum productivity. Also with the highest frequency in its class- 4000 vpm, the DD24 allows for optimum impact spacing at higher rolling speeds.

The DD24 is equipped with a powerful liquid cooled Kubota diesel engine. This 29.2 kW engine is extremely fuel efficient and as standard offers glow plugs for excellent cold weather starting.

To provide superior wall and kerb clearance the DD24’s hose-tube-hose system configuration in the drum has been utilised. This system allows for excellent, clearance, visibility and manoeuvrability in tight surroundings.

The new DD-24 double drum vibratory compactor offers high performance in an ergonomically styled compact unit. The DD24’s unsurpassed overall value through industry leading drum performance, unmatched operating intervals, and more standard safety features than any machines in its class. As standard the DD24 is fitted with roll over protective structure (ROPS). Also the functional design and long-life components will keep the DD24 operating for many years and are backed by a one-year/1000 hour parts and Labor warranty.
