Bobcat Australia extends its attachment range with the new 2286
mm (90") mower attachment. Bobcat Australia now has two mower
attachments available the 1828 mm (72") and the latest addition
the 2286 mm (90"). The Bobcat 2286 mm mower is the largest
available and is compatible with all S series skid steer loaders
as well as the T190, T250 and T300 track loaders and the newly released
Bobcat A300 all-wheel steer loader.
The new Bobcat 2286 mm mower is able to cut as low as 50 mm and
can have the height range increased or decreased by 12 mm increments.
These height changes are achieved by a free-floating deck with adjustable
caster wheels on each corner, which also give the mower the ability
to follow ground contours. Also there is a centre mounted fifth
caster wheel for the prevention of scalping on uneven ground; this
fifth wheel can be removed if desired.
The mower attachment's hydraulic motor drives a single V-belt,
which in turn drives three pulleys, attached to the spindles. Its
design includes one blade per spindle with blade overlap to allow
a clean cut on lawns and turf with no skips. The rear discharge
has a solid deflector that directs grass clippings out and down,
which is extremely useful when mowing next to buildings, trees,
fences and streets.
Unlike 3-point hitch and belly mowers, the Bobcat mower attachment
eliminates driving over the grass before cutting, and provides excellent
visibility to the work area. Other features include three overlapping
blades for clean cutting with no skips, a direct-drive hydraulic
motor powers a single V-belt, and a unique attachment frame allows
the mower to oscillate independently of the loader. Also Bobcat's
patented blade shutoff device stops blade rotation when mower is
raised off the ground.
