Bobcat Australia has introduced the new 325D Model Excavator.
The Bobcat 325D Excavator features improved serviceability, advanced
instrumentation and hydraulic control, additional operator comfort
and sleek new styling.
Improved Serviceability
The 325D compact Excavator features a swing-open tailgate for
superior engine access and servicing. The new tailgate is made of
die-formed, 7 mm steel eliminating the need for cast counterweights
commonly found on compact Excavators. For routine maintenance, the
fuel fill control valve and associated plumbing are quickly accessible
through a convenient cover located on the right side of the Excavator.
The new 325D also features centralized grease zerks for the swing
pinion and bearing and offset cylinder. The zerks are located on
the Excavator's left-front corner to further simplify servicing.
Advanced Hydraulic Control
New piston-pump hydraulic systems improve engine horsepower
management and control of the work group - house swing, boom, dipper
and bucket functions. The 325D Excavator has the highest bucket
breakout force and best cycle times in its class enabling operators
to complete more work in less time. The 325D Model features an industry-exclusive
auxiliary hydraulic function switch located on the right joystick,
which provides fingertip control of auxiliary functions. This is
the only auxiliary hydraulic system in the industry to offer variable
flow control built into the joystick. It also gives operators the
ability of locked-on (dented) flow in both directions.
Smart Instrumentation
New instrumentation on the 325D includes sweep gauges for engine
temperature and fuel level as well as lighted icons to indicate
machine and warnings. A new digital readout shows engine hours,
RPM and resettable job clock. If the engine coolant temperature,
oil pressure or hydraulic oil temperature reach critical levels,
the monitoring system will safely shut down the Excavator to decrease
chances of machine damage.
Operator Comfort
Ideal for rental and large fleets, an ISO/STD control pattern
selection feature is standard equipment on the 325D. This allows
operators to quickly switch between the ISO and standard control
patterns.
Control Console Lockout
Raising the operator console will lockout the joystick and
traction functions, preventing inadvertent operation and enhancing
operator safety. An icon in the instrument panel indicates when
the control console is down and the controls are active.
Operator Extras
Two-piece folding pedals control travel and boom offset functions.
When these functions are not needed the rear portion of the pedals
can be folded forward and locked stationary, to provide additional
foot room and an operator footrest for increased operator comfort.
The two-speed travel function is activated by a thumb switch mounted
on the blade control lever. Boom and frame-mounted work lights are
standard on the 325D Excavator. Optional cab-mounted lights also
are available. A cup holder is located in the operator area for
convenient beverage storage.
